Job summary

Westlake Dermatology is hiring a Medical Assistant for full-time work at Marble Falls and Lakeway locations. The role is four days a week with a Tue/Fri schedule at Lakeway and Mon/Thu at Marble Falls; some Wednesdays off.

You will assist physicians with patient care, gather history, prep exam rooms, support cosmetic procedures, and help with EHR documentation (EMA). Dermatology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus either completion of a college degree or a Medical Assistant program required.
• Medical assistant certification preferred.
• 1-2 years dermatology or cosmetic/surgical clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient care, including history, chief complaint, and consents.
• Assist with cosmetic procedures and prepare exam rooms.
• Escort patients and prepare them for providers and aftercare guidance.
• Perform EHR charting, supply stocking, and room turnover.
• Review and manage schedule to ensure proper appointments and supplies.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Westlake Dermatology has an immediate opening for a Full-Time, Four day a week Medical Assistant to work with a provider at our Marble Falls & Lakeway locations . The scheduel will be Tuesdays and Fridays at Lakeway, Monday and Thusrday at Marble Falls, Wendesndays off. Candidate must have great attention to detail and excellent customer service skills; must have the ability to multi-task; and prior EHR (EMA) experience is a plus. Prior dermatology or plastic surgery experience is preferred.

Job Description

The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the physician with patient care, including obtaining history, chief complaint, and consents; assisting with cosmetic procedures (including Botox, fillers, etc.); preparing exam rooms; escorting patients to room; preparing them for provider; and assisting in patient education regarding aftercare protocols and what to expect after treatment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, EHR charting, stocking of rooms, and turnover of rooms. Medical Assistant is responsible for reviewing and managing schedule to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately and supplies needed for procedure are available.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma plus either completion of a college degree or a Medical Assistant program required
• Medical assistant certification is preferred
• 1-2 years of prior experience in a dermatology orcosmetic/surgical clinic setting working as a medical assistant or clinical assistant preferred
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
• Well-organized with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Empathetic with patient needs and concerns
• Ability to work well with provider, anticipating their needs in regard to patient treatment
• Knowledge of medical and skin care terminology

Job Type: full-time

Compensation: $18.00 - $20 per hour (plus benefits and 401K options for full-time employees)
