Job summary

Southwest Dermatology & Vein in Texas is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support our dermatology team. The role includes rooming patients, entering information in our EMR system, and assisting in various surgeries.

Medical Assistants will receive training in dermatology and should ideally have prior experience in the field. This position is located in Austin, with occasional travel to nearby offices.

Job Title

Medical Assistant (Full‑time)

Location & Work Hours

Based in the Austin office with occasional fill‑in at Dripping Springs, Austin, and Buda locations. Monday to Friday; no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare exam rooms
• Enter patient information into EMA, our EMR system
• Answer phones and provide patient call backs
• Perform triage and pre‑operative scheduling of surgeries
• Clean and sterilize instruments
• Assist physicians during office visits, general surgery, Mohs surgery, and leg‑vein treatments
• Perform other tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Willing to receive training in general dermatology, Mohs surgery, and leg‑vein treatments
• Dermatology experience preferred

Licensing / Certification

Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
