Qualifications

  • General knowledge of office procedures and computer systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle high stress, busy work environment.
  • Knowledge of Word & Outlook Required.
  • Orthopedic and/or casting experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for examination and treatment and collects detailed patient history.
  • Prepares and maintains exam rooms with necessary instruments, equipment and supplies.
  • Follows up with patient on physician's notes or instructions.
  • Provides general assistance, education and information to patient questions.
  • Assists physicians in setup and performance of medical procedures under the direction of physician or nurse manager.
  • Maintains DME supplies and patient confidentiality.
  • Prepares, cleans and stocks examination rooms; replenishes missing stock in drawers and cabinets.
  • Unpacks new supply deliveries and stores away items as directed.
  • Greet and register patients in a prompt and pleasant manner; perform Expediter duties.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the Spire network spans the Northeast with more than 165 physicians, 1,800 employees, 285 other clinical providers and 40 locations in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.What you’ll do:Responsibilities/Duties:Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Collects detailed and accurate patient history.Prepares and maintains exam rooms with necessary instruments, equipment and supplies.Follows up with patient on physician's current patient care notes or instructions.Provides general assistance, education and information to patient questions.Assists physicians in setup and performance of medical procedures under the direction of physician or nurse manager.Maintains DME supplies.Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality.Prepares, cleans and stocks examination rooms.
