We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to perform essential diagnostic laboratory procedures in support of clinical testing and patient care in Manhasset.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to perform essential diagnostic laboratory procedures in support of clinical testing and patient care in Manhasset.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostic procedures for isolating and identifying microbial pathogens from clinical specimens.
• Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers; perform manual tests as needed.
• Maintain a strong understanding of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and physiological factors affecting test results.
• Stay familiar with a wide range of testing procedures conducted in the lab.
• Assist with special projects, evaluate new products and instruments, and perform quality control procedures.
• Support endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures, including scope processing and specimen handling.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate or Diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, especially Epic.
• Experience with high-level disinfection and scope processing.
• Hands-on experience in procedural areas such as colonoscopy and endoscopy.
• Skilled in specimen processing, phlebotomy, and clinical support.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
