Job summary

Axis Spine and Pain in Macon, GA is seeking a friendly Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will support physicians and advanced practice providers, prep patients, and ensure a smooth visit flow.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a Medical Assistant certificate; current BLS/CPR certification is required. Experience in pain management or EMR systems, especially eClinicalWorks, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and welcoming patient experience while preparing the patient and their information for the visit.
• Assist with the medical appointment as instructed by the provider.
• Clean, prepare and stock rooms.
• Communicate with patients and other providers about their care as instructed by the provider.
• Document accurately about the visit in the EMR.

They will work as part of the care team with the Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to ensure the patient has the best possible experience. Duties include: providing a warm and welcoming patient experience while preparing the patient and their information for their visit with their provider, assisting with the medical appointment as instructed by the provider, cleaning, preparing and stocking rooms, communicating with the patients and other providers about their care as instructed by the provider and documenting accurately about the visit in the electronic medical record.The right person for this role will delight in providing a great experience to the patient, will have a curious mind that always looks for a way to improve, and be compassionate for patients experiencing chronic and/or acute pain.
