Job summary

Andwell Health Partners in Lewiston, Maine is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support in-home palliative and wound care visits, take vital signs, document accurately, and assist with basic clinical tasks.

You will set up and support telehealth visits, monitor patient conditions, educate patients and caregivers, adhere to safety and HIPAA standards, and travel to patient homes as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MA training with CPR/BLS required.
• 1+ year of MA experience in home health, primary care, or wound care.
• Comfort with technology and telehealth.
• Ability to work independently in home settings.

Responsibilities

• Support in-home palliative and wound care visits.
• Take vital signs and assist with basic clinical tasks, including wound care.
• Set up and support telehealth visits with providers.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Document care accurately in the EMR.
• Educate and support patients and caregivers as directed.
• Follow safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards.
• Travel to patient homes and work with an interdisciplinary team.
