Job summary

Favorite Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant in Leavenworth for a full-time position. The role supports healthcare providers and delivers quality patient care in a clinical environment.

The ideal candidate will be organized and professional, with the ability to document vitals, assist with examinations, and enter data into the EHR. A certificate is preferred, but experience may substitute in some cases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• NRCMA, RMA, CMA, NCMA or CCMA certification preferred.
• Relevant healthcare experience may be considered in place of certification.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for medical examinations and treatments.
• Obtain and document vital signs and medical and social histories.
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations and treatments.
• Enter accurate clinical information into the electronic health record.
• Administer medications and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide professional and compassionate support to patients, visitors, and staff.
