Job summary

SSS FAMILY MEDICINE PC is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. You will prepare charts for patient visits, support nurses and medical staff, and assist with tests and lab reporting to ensure timely communication of patient care.

You will also help manage medical supplies inventory, set up equipment, and clean instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and office experience and is eager to learn in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Prior office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits by reviewing charts and setting up required equipment.
• Clean and reset instruments and equipment after each use.
• Answer and return patient calls; address medical questions and determine visit needs.
• Assist NP, PA, and physician with basic medical care and procedures.
• Track, document, and follow up on lab results.
• Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for processing.
• Transmit laboratory work to external labs.
• Conduct in-house testing: rapid strep, rapid flu, dipstick urinalysis, pregnancy tests.
• Perform EKGs and assist with diagnostic workflows.
• Record patient vitals.
• Coordinate with labs and radiology to obtain results.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside nurses and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience.

Responsibilities
