Job summary

US Fertility in Lawrenceville, GA is hiring a Medical Assistant to support fertility patients across our network. The role involves phlebotomy, clinical support, and patient education, with occasional travel to satellite offices. Monday–Friday schedule 6:45 AM–3:15 PM ET, occasional weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform high volume phlebotomy.
• Maintain supplies for blood-drawing stations.
• Assist with clinical care of fertility patients.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Provide patient/couple counseling and educate on procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-operative education.
• Perform semen washes and IUIs setup.
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance.
• Enter labs and print labels in the computer system.
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Work independently to achieve program goals.
• Support and promote excellence in customer service.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistantto join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM Eastern Time, with occasional weekends (once a month or less) and holidays; This position will float on the rare occasion to satellite offices in Marietta, Alpharetta, and Buckhead) is possible

In this role, the Medical Assistantwill:

• Perform high volume of phlebotomy
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Provide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
• Provide pre and post op education
• Perform semen washes and sets up for IUIs
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
• Work independently to assure the program goals are achieved
• Support and promote excellence in customer service

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Completion of a formal MA program; preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is required
• Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology
