Reports to: Office Manager
Job Location: Laguna Hills, CA
Job Overview: Responsible for patient care under the direction of a doctor or office manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Room patients, obtain vitals, patient history, and reason for seeking care.
  2. Answer phone calls and process messages.
  3. Schedule patients' appointments.
  4. Maintain patient records confidentially.
  5. Enter patients' information and medical records in EMR.
  6. Process co-pays at the time of patients' visits.
  7. Verify insurance and process prior authorizations.
  8. Fax and scan patients' documents.
  9. Handle medical records according to HIPAA guidelines.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned per the requirements of the medical/surgical practice.
