- Perform general nursing duties in a busy orthopedic clinic
- Perform wound care/dressing changes
- Drawing up meds; call in medications
- Application of sterile fields
- Draw up injections and assist provider as needed
- Applying splints, braces and fitting of orthotics as needed
- Schedule diagnostic imaging and obtain precertification
- Locate any necessary imaging test results, lab work and/or reports
- Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc.
- Prepare charts for clinic and print out patient information, notes and/or test results
- Fill out return-to-work forms, FMLA and disability forms
- Obtain signature on miscellaneous forms and mail or fax
- Friendly and Professional patient communication
- Answering and returning patient phone calls
- Escorting patients to and from exam rooms
- Respond to and chart patient messages

Must Also Possess
- Orthopedic experience a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in very busy clinical setting
- Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
- Independent and highly motivated
- Exhibit initiative and self-discipline
- Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history
- Experience with surgical patients preferred
