• Perform general nursing duties in a busy orthopedic clinic
• Perform wound care/dressing changes
• Drawing up meds; call in medications
• Application of sterile fields
• Draw up injections and assist provider as needed
• Applying splints, braces and fitting of orthotics as needed
• Schedule diagnostic imaging and obtain precertification
• Locate any necessary imaging test results, lab work and/or reports
• Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc.
• Prepare charts for clinic and print out patient information, notes and/or test results
• Fill out return-to-work forms, FMLA and disability forms
• Obtain signature on miscellaneous forms and mail or fax
• Friendly and Professional patient communication
• Answering and returning patient phone calls
• Escorting patients to and from exam rooms
• Respond to and chart patient messages

Must Also Possess

• Orthopedic experience a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in very busy clinical setting
• Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
• Independent and highly motivated
• Exhibit initiative and self-discipline
• Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history
• Experience with surgical patients preferred
