Job summary

Providence PACE Oregon seeks a Medical Assistant to collaboratively support nurses and PCPs, providing basic patient care through administrative and clinical duties. You will operate within established policies and procedures to ensure quality care for participants.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship or two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy program or other allied health program that includes phlebotomy training or training within 60 days of hire.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
• 6 months Healthcare experience
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing basic patient care under supervision.
• Support nursing team and PCP with administrative and clinical tasks.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Education

Accredited Medical Assistant program with externship

Two years of medical training in United States Armed Forces

Job description

The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with the nursing team and primary care provider (PCP) to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned participants. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. A MA is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program that includes an externship or has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces. Or equivalent educ/experience
