Job summary

ABACUS DERMATOLOGY MANAGEMENT LLC seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support and concierge-level service across multiple dermatology practice locations in New Jersey. The role includes preparing patients for exams and cosmetic procedures, taking vital signs, and updating EHRs.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures such as skin checks, biopsies, cryotherapy, and injectables; performing phlebotomy; and supporting front desk tasks. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent credential.
• Prior dermatology or aesthetics experience preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.
• Strong interest in skin health and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for dermatology exams and cosmetic procedures.
• Take vital signs, review medical histories, and update patient charts in the EHR.
• Assist providers with dermatology procedures (skin checks, biopsies, cryotherapy, suture removal, injectables).
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection per safety protocols.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient care.
• Support front desk operations, including phones and scheduling.
• Travel between practice locations to provide coverage.
• Deliver a concierge-level patient experience from start to finish.

Minimum Qualifications
