Quality Talent Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for a leading Cincinnati-area healthcare network with 130+ years of leadership. The role supports physicians, maintains patient flow, and handles EMR/chart prep.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program or have prior Medical Assisting experience.

• Strong computer and communication skills, plus clinical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with examination and treatment of patients under physician supervision.
• Maintain patient flow and document vital signs, medical history, and medications.
• Record patient information in EMR and prepare charts from records.
• Obtain diagnostic test results and records from outside facilities as needed.
• Process medication refills and pre-authorizations with patients, pharmacies, and insurers.
• Maintain samples, medications, and inventory; order supplies as needed.
• Prepare clean, fully supplied examination rooms.
• Collect pertinent medical information to support decisions.
• Answer calls, MyChart messages, schedule appointments, and check patients in/out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets and queues.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries.
• Operate EKGs and cardiac monitors for routine tests.
• Perform phlebotomy and other clinical duties as assigned.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safety standards.
• May assist training new employees or oversee work queues.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain patient samples and medications, dispose of expired medications, and order medical supplies as needed.
• Prepare and maintain clean, fully supplied examination rooms.
• Obtain pertinent medical information to support medical decision-making according to office protocols.
• Answer calls, respond to MyChart messages, schedule appointments, and check patients in and out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets, workflow logs, work queues, and related office tasks.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
• Operate EKGs, cardiac monitors, and other equipment to perform routine diagnostic tests.
• Perform clinical duties such as phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with safety, legal, quality, and patient experience standards.
• May assist with training new employees or coordinate/oversee work queues in the office.
