Job summary

Quality Talent Group seeks a Medical Assistant for a leading Cincinnati healthcare network. The role supports examinations, patient flow, EMR documentation, and coordination with physicians in a collaborative setting.

The position requires a Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience, a high school diploma, and BLS certification, with strong computer, communication, and clinical skills. Full-time and part-time options available, in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
• Maintain patient flow and document review of systems, vital signs, medical history, and medications.
• Record patient information in the EMR and prepare charts by scanning, abstracting, and reviewing medical records.
• Obtain diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other records from outside facilities as needed.
• Process medication refills and pre-authorizations while communicating with patients, pharmacies, and insurers.
• Maintain patient samples and medications, dispose of expired meds, and order supplies.
• Prepare and maintain clean, fully supplied examination rooms.
• Obtain pertinent medical information to support medical decision-making.
• Answer calls, respond to MyChart messages, schedule appointments, and check patients in/out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets and work queues.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
• Operate EKGs, cardiac monitors, and other equipment for routine tests.
• Perform phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with safety and quality standards.
• May assist training new employees or oversee work queues.
