Quality Talent Group seeks a Medical Assistant for a leading Cincinnati healthcare network. You will support physicians, manage patient flow, and document care in the EMR to ensure efficient visits.

The role requires a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience, a high school diploma, BLS, and strong computer and communication skills. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a respected system.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with examination and treatment of patients under physician supervision.
• Maintain patient flow and review vital signs, medical history, and medications.
• Record patient information in EMR and prepare charts by scanning and reviewing records.
• Obtain diagnostic test results and records from outside facilities as needed.
• Process medication refills and pre-authorizations with patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies.
• Maintain patient samples and medications, dispose of expired meds, and order supplies as needed.
• Prepare and maintain clean, fully supplied examination rooms.
• Obtain medical information to support decision-making per office protocols.
• Answer calls, respond to MyChart messages, schedule appointments, check patients in/out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets and work queues.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
• Operate EKGs and cardiac monitors for routine tests.
• Perform clinical duties such as phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with safety, quality, and patient experience standards.
• May assist with training new employees or oversee work queues.
