Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for a leading Cincinnati-area healthcare network. This role supports physicians, manages patient flow, and performs routine clinical tasks in a busy office.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant program, a high school diploma, BLS certification, and strong computer and communication skills. The position offers growth in a respected environment with confidentiality and patient safety prioritized.

Qualifications

• Strong computer, communication and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Maintain patient flow and document systems, vital signs, medical history, and meds.
• Record patient information in EMR and prepare charts.
• Obtain test results, hospital reports, and records from outside facilities.
• Process refills and pre-authorizations with patients, pharmacies, and insurers.
• Maintain samples and medications and order supplies as needed.
• Prepare clean, fully equipped examination rooms.
• Answer calls, MyChart messages, schedule appointments, check patients in/out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets and work queues.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries.
• Operate EKGs, cardiac monitors and routine diagnostic tests.
• Perform phlebotomy and other assigned clinical duties.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with safety, quality and patient experience standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

• Maintain patient samples and medications, dispose of expired medications, and order medical supplies as needed.
• Prepare and maintain clean, fully supplied examination rooms.
• Obtain pertinent medical information to support medical decision-making according to office protocols.
• Answer calls, respond to MyChart messages, schedule appointments, and check patients in and out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets, workflow logs, work queues, and related office tasks.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
• Operate EKGs, cardiac monitors, and other equipment to perform routine diagnostic tests.
• Perform clinical duties such as phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with safety, legal, quality, and patient experience standards.
• May assist with training new employees or coordinate/oversee work queues in the office.
