Endoscopy - GI Technician Medical Assistant

Greenville, NC

Pay From: $19 per hour

MUST:

• Experienced Endoscopy Technician, Medical Assistant or Procedure Assistant
• 2+ year of experience in an endoscopy setting or surgical setting
• Experience assisting with medical office procedures, surgical procedures or GI procedures
• Providing patient care
• Experience turning over and preparing procedure rooms
• Maintaining and ordering inventory and supplies for procedures
• Reprocessing and cleaning equipment and instruments
• EMR Documentation
• Knowledge of aseptic technique
• HS diploma

DUTIES:

• Assist providers with endoscopy procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the provider during procedures
• Provide patient care
• Ensure all instruments and supplies are ready prior to procedures
• Stock, clean and ready procedure rooms
• Assist with monitoring patients and alert clinical staff of any change in status
• Assist with specimen retrieval
• Label medications and specimens
• Clean and reprocess scopes and equipment
• Assist with room turn-over and clean up including changing linens, and trash removal
• Demonstrate principles of aseptic techniques
