Cardinal Health Fresno is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will room patients, take vital signs, assist with examinations, and prepare them for procedures, ensuring accuracy in the EMR and coordination of referrals.

The ideal candidate has an MA diploma/certification, BLS/CPR, and strong organizational and communication skills. Oncology knowledge is a plus, with opportunities to work across specialties.

Formación

• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Two years of Medical Assistant experience, highly preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and injections as directed and within scope of practice.
• Perform EKGs, specimen collection, wound care, and other clinical procedures as assigned.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and obtain insurance authorizations.
• Educate patients on medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Clean and stock exam rooms and maintain infection control standards.
• Float between multiple specialty departments based on staffing needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
