Job summary

Haden Allergy in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our allergy & immunology practice. This full-time role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, recording histories, performing skin tests, providing injections, and supporting procedures under supervision.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, MA program completion preferred, and be willing to obtain CMA/RMA/CCMA certification within 2 months and BLS/CPR before start.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA or willingness to obtain certification within 2 months.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain before start.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred; allergy, pediatrics or injections experience a plus.
• Comfortable working with children and adults.
• Strong attention to detail with medications and test results.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, and record medical histories and medication lists.
• Perform and read skin prick and intradermal allergy tests under supervision.
• Administer allergy immunotherapy injections and monitor for reactions.
• Conduct spirometry and other pulmonary function tests.
• Assist providers with procedures and in-office challenges.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR.
• Handle calls, refills, prior authorizations, and coordinate care.
• Stock and clean exam rooms and prepare equipment.
• Identify signs of allergic reactions and respond per emergency protocols.

Medical Assistant – Allergy & Immunology

Haden Allergy | Fort Worth, Texas | Full-Time | [$17.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience]

About Us

Haden Allergy is a patient-focused allergy and immunology practice. We help adults and children manage allergies, asthma and immune conditions. Our team is small and supportive, and we take pride in knowing our patients by name. We're looking for a dependable, caring Medical Assistant to join us.

What You'll Do

• Room patients, take vital signs, and record medical histories and medication lists
• Perform and read skin prick and intradermal allergy tests under provider supervision
• Give allergy immunotherapy injections (allergy shots) and watch patients afterward for reactions
• Do spirometry and other pulmonary function tests
• Help providers with procedures and in-office food or drug challenges
• Keep patient records accurate in our EHR system
• Answer patient calls, handle refill requests and prior authorizations, and coordinate care
• Stock and clean exam rooms and keep equipment ready
• Spot signs of allergic reactions and respond quickly, following emergency protocols

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• Current certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or similar) preferred, or willingness to get certified within [2] months
• Current BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to get it before you start

Schedule

[Monday/Thursday 8-5:30, Tuesday/Wednesday 8-5 and Friday 8-12 No nights. Occasional Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings.
