Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first contact for patient care at our Coral Ridge location in Florida. You will handle administrative tasks along with vital clinical duties, including EMR documentation, injections, vital signs, and specimen collection.

The role requires MA schooling or certification, phlebotomy experience, CPR, and TB screening compliance. This is an onsite, full-time role with a sign-on bonus pending. Bilingual candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an MA school/training program or certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Phlebotomy experience and medication/vaccine administration experience required.
• CPR certification is required; bilingual applicants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document patient symptoms in EMR.

The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. You will perform computations, and other tasks, and report to the Center Administrator.

The Medical Assistant performs clinical tasks such as:

• Document patient symptoms in EMR
• Take and record vital signs
• Administer injections
• Perform diagnostic tests
• Collect specimens and draw blood
• Sterilize equipment
• Maintain examination rooms
• Other tasks as assigned

Use your skills to make an impact

Required:

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• CPR Certified
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred:

• Certified or Registered - (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish OR English and Creole
• 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 to 5:00

Sign On Bonus: $1000 -Paid after 120 days of Employment

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
