Job summary

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ophthalmologists with eye care services and patient flow. The role blends clinical and administrative duties in a busy practice, with a schedule from 7:15AM to 4:15PM, Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate has customer-facing experience and basic medical office skills, including MS Word/Outlook/Excel, and comfort with internet use. Prior eye care or medical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • One-year experience in a customer facing position preferred.
  • Medical related experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Proficient in use of internet.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized eye exam testing and streamline patient flow.
  • Conduct other diagnostic tests such as Visual Aids, OCT, and corneal topography.
  • Provide phone support for prescription refills as authorized by the physician.
  • Educate patients on medication administration and pre-/post-operative instructions.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

An Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting ophthalmologists in providing eye care services to patients. They assist with both clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to the efficient operation of the practice.

Work Schedule: 7:15AM to 4:15PM Monday - Friday

Roles and Responsibilities
  • - Ability to perform specialized eye exam testing while streamlining patient flow.
  • - Other diagnostic testing such as: Visual Aids, OCT, Corneal topography, etc...
  • - Providing phone support with request for prescription refills as authorized by the physician.
  • - Educate patients regarding administration of medications and pre- and post-operative instructions as directed by physician.

Physical Demands
  • - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
