The Medical Assistant is responsible for a variety of patient care, technical, and clerical functions. They manage clinic patient flow by assisting the patient care team and providing a broad range of healthcare services. As part of the team, the Medical Assistant is attentive to the psychosocial needs of patients and families.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an approved Medical Assisting Program is preferred. Other education approved by the DON may be considered.
• Work Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN is preferred but not required.
• Certifications & Licenses: Certified as a CMA, RMA, or CCMA, or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. CPR/BLS certification from the American Red Cross is required.
