Job summary

A well respected Community HealthCenter is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to provide direct patient care and customer service. You will assist providers during patient visits, interview patients, and prepare rooms.

You will collect specimens, assist with medications, document in the EHR, and help discharge patients. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Medical Assistant diploma or equivalent training, CPR certification, and a valid fingerprint clearance card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or completed a United States Armed Forces medical services training program required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Any combination of education and work experience that meets the necessary skills required will be considered.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid fingerprint clearance card required.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Must have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance may be required if driving during workhours and/or if requesting mileage reimbursement.

Duties include but are not limited to assisting providers duringpreparation and provision of patient visit, interviewing patient’s andobtaining reason for visit, room preparation, specimen collection andprocessing, medication administration, documentation in electronic healthrecord and patient discharge. Facilitates communication between internal andexternal customers.

Compensation: $23.48 Per Hour

Education

• HighSchool Diploma or GED required.
• MedicalAssistant Diploma or completed a United States Armed Forces medical servicestraining program required.
• Minimumof 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Anycombination of education and work experience that meets the necessary skillsrequired will be considered.
• CardiopulmonaryResuscitation (CPR) certification required.
