Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Take and record vital signs, patient history, medications, and reason for visit.
  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and routine clinical tasks.
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Perform basic clinical duties such as injections, specimen collection, EKGs, or point-of-care testing, as assigned and within scope.
  • Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Communicate with patients regarding follow-up instructions, referrals, prescriptions, and basic care coordination.
  • Answer patient questions within scope and elevate clinical concerns to the provider or appropriate team member.
  • Support front office tasks as needed, including scheduling, phone calls, insurance updates, and patient communication.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, infection control, and HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Help create a welcoming and efficient patient experience in a small practice setting.
