Job summary

Actalent is seeking Medical Assistants for Long Island locations including Coram, Amityville, Shirley, and Riverhead. This onsite contract role is open to entry-level candidates with a Medical Assistant Diploma.

You will greet patients, take histories, record vitals, prepare exam rooms, and manage EMR updates. The role offers onsite work in Coram, NY with benefits and pay options ranging per experience.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Diploma required.
• Entry-level candidates welcome.
• Experience with EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and ensure they feel welcomed and respected throughout their visit.
• Perform patient intake, including collecting medical history, recording current symptoms, and updating information in the electronic medical record.
• Accurately obtain and document vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and other clinical measurements.
• Prepare exam rooms for patient visits and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and organized.
• Stock and restock exam rooms with medical supplies, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and cleanliness.
• Clean, maintain, and prepare medical instruments, including proper use of autoclave equipment for sterilization.

MEDICAL ASSITANT DIPLOMA REQUIRED

Open to entry level candidates

Pay Rate:

Medical Assistant Diploma: $20.50-$23.50 an hour (Dependent on experience)

Medical Assistant Diploma WITH NHA: $22-$25.50 an hour (Dependent on experience)

This is a Contract position based out of Coram, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
