Job summary

Job Description

The Laboratory Assistant plays a key role in ensuring that incoming materials, final products, and packaging consistently meet defined quality, customer, and regulatory standards. This position focuses heavily on inspection and quality control activities, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and maintains accurate documentation to uphold a robust quality management system in a diverse manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities


  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of incoming materials and components in accordance with standard operating procedures and customer requirements.


  • Verify that finished products and packaging meet established quality specifications and regulatory expectations.


  • Follow all documented SOPs, operational protocols, testing procedures, and quality control guidelines during inspection activities.


  • Perform visual inspections and quality checks to identify defects, nonconformances, or deviations from standards.


  • Apply structured problem‑solving tools to implement sustainable improvements in quality processes and workflows.


  • Maintain clean, organized, and consistent workspaces in alignment with 5S or similar lean principles.



Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Shakopee, MN.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.


Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
