Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Part Time Medical Assistant to provide patient care at our Health Center in Cleveland, NC. The schedule runs Tue 8:00AM–1:00PM, Wed 11:00AM–5:00PM, Thu 8:00AM–1:00PM, Fri 7:00AM–1:00PM, with duties including vital signs, records, room prep, medication administration, labs, and front desk support.

The role requires MA certification (or eligible) with hands-on BLS training. Prior MA experience is preferred, and the position offers a supportive, inclusive work

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting or a Certificate/Diploma from an accredited program with externship completed
• Current certification with hands-on training in BLS (AHA/ARC or equivalent) is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vitals (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height)
• Maintain and update patient health records
• Prepare treatment rooms; clean and sterilize instruments
• Administer medications, perform labs, EKGs as allowed by state regulations
• Assist at front desk, schedule appointments, follow-up calls, order supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

As a Part Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Cleveland, NC. The scheduled hours are Tuesday 8:00AM - 1:00PM, Wednesday 11:00AM - 5:00PM, Thursday 8:00AM - 1:00PM, Friday 7:00AM - 1:00PM.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
