USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain efficient workflow across clinics between Bethpage and Stony Brook. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience, and EMR/EHR proficiency.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as Medical Assistant or similar role is required.
• Experience performing clinical duties: vital signs, rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, specimen collection.
• Medical Assistant training program completion and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing/customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients to ensure a welcoming experience.
• Document patient vital signs, histories, and clinical data in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, specimen collection as trained.
• Document interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems.

• Assist care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

• Location: This position floats between Bethpage and Stony Brook must be comfortable commuting between both clinics.
• Schedule: Must be able to work Monday - Saturday, Open schedule availability required.
• The candidate must speak English and Spanish fluently
• Compensation: $20-$26/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent,required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experienceas a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such asvital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or currentCMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,required.
