• Preparing the patient for the exam by performing preliminary tasks as needed.
• Reporting relevant information to the provider.
• Assisting the provider with patient care as requested.
• Performing scribe duties, as needed.
• Reviewing treatment procedures with patients.
• Assisting in ordering tests/retrieving results.
• Bracing measurements under supervision of a licensed professional.
• Collecting patient payments and scheduling follow-up appointments.
• Balancing and closing the journal each day, when applicable.
• Maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
• Other responsibilities as needed.

General Description:

This Medical Assistant position provides both administrative and clinical support in patient registration, rooming, demographic and medical data collection as well as patient checkout including appointments, discharge information and payment under the supervision of a provider.
