Job summary

Horizon Health and Wellness, Inc. in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily operations in the patient care area.

You will assist clinical and front-line staff, help ensure smooth patient flow, and maintain accuracy in records and communications. Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and a Medical Assistant certificate, with preferably bilingual English/Spanish or English/Sign Language.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records.
• Must obtain fingerprint clearance; background check required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patients' health by maintaining day-to-day operation of the patient care area.
• Assist support staff; work with clinic provider to ensure physical and psychological support for patients.
• Greet and assist participants, families, staff and community members; manage basic administrative tasks.
