Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join our podiatry team in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will work alongside physicians to provide hands-on patient care and support with procedures, imaging, and documentation.

We offer hands-on training, a collaborative clinical environment, and benefits. The role requires a high school diploma or MA program completion, CMA/RMA preferred, and flexibility to travel between local office locations.

Responsibilities

Job description

Foot & Ankle Surgical Associates , a division of US Foot & Ankle Specialists, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry team.

As a Medical Assistant, you will work directly alongside our physicians to provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, supporting providers during procedures, and being part of a collaborative clinical team.

Our Medical Assistants receive hands-on training and ongoing clinical education to help you build your skills and succeed in the role.

What You'll Do:

• Welcome patients, room them, take vitals, update medical history, and prepare them for exams
• Assist physicians with injections, wound care, nail care, minor procedures, and in-office surgeries
• Apply DME, strappings, and pads; take X-rays; prepare and submit lab specimens
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure clinical supplies are stocked
• Provide patient education and follow-up communication
• Support scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and other administrative tasks as needed
• Verify insurance, referrals, and authorizations
• Maintain accurate patient records through EMR documentation, scanning, and data entry
• Support billing follow-ups, orthotics tracking, and daily office operations

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience
• CMA or RMA certification preferred
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused
• Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Pay Range:

• $20 - $22 per hour, based on experience
