Job summary

Saban Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations at our Hollywood, CA site. You will prepare exam rooms, assist physicians, and perform vital signs, screenings, EKGs and venipuncture while coordinating referrals and test results with patients.

The role requires CA-accredited Medical Assistant certification, experience with EHR systems, and preferred bilingual abilities to assist a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Certification from a California-accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Skills in venipuncture, audiometry and spirometry are required.
• Ability to perform EKG tests is required.
• Fluency in another language (e.g., Spanish, Russian, Armenian or Korean) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and stock supplies for clinic sessions.
• Assist doctors with examinations and other patient-care procedures.
• Record vital signs, screenings, EKGs and venipuncture data.
• Provide patient referrals, follow-up appointments and test results information.
• Conduct birth control counseling and related patient education.
• Maintain documentation and use EHR/CAIR and other systems.
• Ensure proper handling of specimens and lab prep as needed.
