Medical Assistant Instructor – Brighton, MI
Job Location: Brighton, MI (Campus based)
Job Type: Part‑time (typically 9‑18 hours per week, from 8:30‑1:00 or 5:30‑10:00).
Responsibilities
- Teach Medical Assisting classroom sessions with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
- Deliver lessons and demonstrations using Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
- Conduct day or evening classes (4.5 hours per session) on a schedule that may include morning, mid‑morning, and evening slots.
- Prepare instructional materials and maintain accurate student records.
- Support students’ learning experience and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical assisting or 5 years in a medical field with a national medical assistant certification.
- Formal training from an accredited institution and ability to obtain a national certification as a medical assistant.
- Interest in teaching or prior teaching/tutoring experience.
- Flexibility, strong learning orientation, and commitment to professional growth.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move around the classroom, and use technology to maintain student records.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and conduct as a representative of Ross Education.
- Adherence to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
- Capacity to travel to clinical sites or meetings as required for clinical coordinators.
