Job summary

Medical Assistant Instructor – Brighton, MI

Job Location: Brighton, MI (Campus based)

Job Type: Part‑time (typically 9‑18 hours per week, from 8:30‑1:00 or 5:30‑10:00).

Responsibilities

• Teach Medical Assisting classroom sessions with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
• Deliver lessons and demonstrations using Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
• Conduct day or evening classes (4.5 hours per session) on a schedule that may include morning, mid‑morning, and evening slots.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain accurate student records.
• Support students’ learning experience and foster an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical assisting or 5 years in a medical field with a national medical assistant certification.
• Formal training from an accredited institution and ability to obtain a national certification as a medical assistant.
• Interest in teaching or prior teaching/tutoring experience.
• Flexibility, strong learning orientation, and commitment to professional growth.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move around the classroom, and use technology to maintain student records.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and conduct as a representative of Ross Education.
• Adherence to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
• Capacity to travel to clinical sites or meetings as required for clinical coordinators.
