Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinics in Lynn and West Roxbury. You will greet patients, document histories and vital signs, and perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection under supervision.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care and efficient EMR usage. Requires 1–2 years of clinical experience, MA training, and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus for patient interactions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role, required.
  • Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
  • Proven patient-facing/customer-service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience.
  • Document patient vital signs, histories, and clinical info in EMR/EHR.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
  • Document patient interactions and clinical data in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Deliver exceptional patient service in a high-volume setting.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks) as needed.
  • Support patient care across clinics, urgent care, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health.
  • Leverage bilingual skills to assist patient interactions where applicable.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details:
  • Location: This position floats between our Lynn & West Roxbury clinics.
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (M, W, F in Lynn & T, Th in West Roxbury)
  • Compensation: $20-$24hr based on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
  • Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
  • Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
  • Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent,required.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experienceas a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
  • Experience performing clinical duties such asvital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or currentCMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
  • Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,required.
