Job summary

USA Clinics Group in New York is seeking a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain efficient clinic workflow, supporting physicians before, during and after procedures to ensure an excellent service experience. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish, a High School Diploma, 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience, and EMR/EHR proficiency (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks).

Location between Bethpage and Stony Brook; schedule Mon–Sat; compensation $20–$25/hr with paid

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role, required.
  • Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
  • Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the EMR/EHR
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification
  • Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
  • Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments
  • Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient workflow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures - before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.


Position Details:


  • Location: This position floats between Bethpage and Stony Brook must be comfortable commuting between both clinics

  • Schedule: Must be able to work Monday - Saturday, Open schedule availability required

  • The candidate must speak English and Spanish fluently

  • Compensation: $20-$25/hr

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required

  • 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required

  • Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred

  • Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required
