Job summary

Live Urgent Care LLC is actively seeking Medical Assistants to join our New Jersey and Pennsylvania clinics. The role focuses on patient care, rooming, vitals, basic lab work, and medication administration under supervision.

You will also handle front-desk duties, insurance verification, and appointment coordination in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a medical environment, a high school diploma or equivalent, and current Medical Assistant certification

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program is preferred
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms, take medical histories, and perform vitals
• Conduct basic lab tests such as urinalysis, blood draws, and COVID swabs
• Administer medications under the supervision of a medical provider
• Greet patients, handle phone calls, verify insurance, and manage appointments
• Support co-workers to provide the best patient experience and keep the clinic tidy and stocked

Your Role and Impact:

Requirements

Education:

• Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program is preferred
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting; experience in Urgent Care is preferred
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
• Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for actions
• Open to constructive criticism and feedback when necessary
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party vendors

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Competence with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with EKGs and Phlebotomy preferred but not required
