Live Urgent Care LLC is seeking Medical Assistants to join our state-of-the-art clinics in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The role focuses on direct patient care, vitals collection, and support across front and back office functions.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a medical setting, a high school diploma, and a current Medical Assistant certification. We offer comprehensive benefits, 12-hour shifts on weekdays and 8-hour weekends, with opportunities for growth across sites.

Responsibilities

• Patient care: escort patients, take histories, and record vitals.

• Medication administration under supervision of a provider.
• Administrative support: greet patients, handle calls, verify insurance, schedule appointments.
• Team collaboration: keep the clinic tidy and support coworkers to ensure great patient experience.

Your Role and Impact:

• Patient Care: Escort patients to examination rooms, take medical histories, and perform vitals
• Lab Work: Conduct basic lab tests such as urinalysis, blood draws, and COVID swabs
• Medication Administration: Administer medications under the supervision of a medical provider

Requirements

Education:

• Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program is preferred
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting; experience in Urgent Care is preferred
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
• Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for actions
• Open to constructive criticism and feedback when necessary
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party vendors

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Competence with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with EKGs and Phlebotomy preferred but not required
