Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant for the Jasper Family Health & Medicine site in Jasper, AL. This full-time, day-shift role supports providers and patients in a fast-paced, patient-focused clinic environment.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, preparing patients, documenting treatments, coordinating tests, and handling patient communications. Requires a High School diploma, MA program or 1+ year experience, and current BLS certification with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and MA credential within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and Advanced Practice Providers during exams and procedures.
• Prepare patients for visits and gather health data.
• Document treatments and patient education in the electronic medical record system.
• Coordinate specialty testing and consultations.
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls with professionalism and clinical judgment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and Baptist Health standards.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant training program or 1+ year of relevant experience

Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification

Certification or registration (e.g., CCMA, CMA, RMA) within 6 months
