Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Jasper Family Health & Medicine location in Jasper, AL. This full-time, day-shift role supports clinicians and patients with compassionate, detail-oriented care.

You will prepare patients, collect health data, and document treatments in the EMR. Coordinate testing and consultations while upholding safety and Baptist Health standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Certification or registration from a recognized agency (e.g., CCMA, CMA, RMA) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and Advanced Practice Providers during exams and procedures.
• Prepare patients for visits and gather health data.
• Document treatments and patient education in our electronic medical system.
• Coordinate specialty testing and consultations.
• Handle incoming/outgoing calls with professionalism and clinical judgment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and Baptist Health standards.
