Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS) in Beloit, Wisconsin, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered primary care.

This role performs both clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent patient experience, including exam preparation, procedures, specimen collection, and accurate record keeping. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, MA certification preferred, and BLS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
• Bi-annual BLS Certification required.
• 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred.
• Experience with mental health or substance use disorders a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams, take histories, and record vital signs.
• Assist providers with procedures, injections, and minor surgeries.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Collect and process lab specimens and perform basic tests.
• Schedule tests and treatments and support chart preparation.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and required compliance logs.
• Participate in trainings, safety programs, and quality improvement efforts.
• Support CHS’s mission and Patient Centered Medical Home standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
