Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first contact for patient care, performing both administrative and clinical duties. You will collaborate with physicians and other providers, take vitals, administer vaccines, collect specimens, and document care in the EMR.

The role requires MA certification or completion of an MA program, a high school diploma or equivalent, and CPR certification, with TB screening participation.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be the first contact for patient care. You will be responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care activities. The Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative, operational, and customer support assignments that are moderately complex. Supervisors typically supervise work, and employees follow established procedures. As a Medical Assistant, you will perform clinical duties. These responsibilities include discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs. They also include administering medications and vaccines, performing phlebotomy, and collecting specimens. Additionally, duties involve conducting diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms. Finally, they include documenting information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. You will collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver direct patient care, as permitted by active certification. Decisions typically involve interpreting departmental procedures and determining appropriate actions within established guidelines and follow standard procedures while working with a degree of independence.

• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred

• Certified or registered – (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration).
• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
