Job summary

Allergy & Asthma Associates in Arnold, MD is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our specialty healthcare team. You will support physicians with examinations, administer allergy injections, and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CMA/RMA certification preferred, and strong communication skills. The role requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment and may require CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience in a clinical or specialty practice setting preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced specialty medical environment.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

• Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints in the EHR system
• Prepare and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms between patient visits
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and provide front-to-back office support
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and allergy/asthma management techniques
• Handle lab specimens, process referrals, and manage prior authorizations as needed
