Job summary

AllerVie Health is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to work full time in Westminster, MD. You will be hands-on clinically every day while also leading the MA team, bridging providers and staff and ensuring immunotherapy safety protocols during peak volume.

Ideal candidates are confident, detail-oriented, and energetic, with EMR proficiency and allergy/immunology experience a plus. This role includes supervising duties, scheduling, and performance oversight within a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • CMA/RMA certification desired.
  • 3+ years clinical experience, 1+ year in a lead role preferred.
  • Allergy/immunology experience is a plus.
  • EMR proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, take vitals, review histories, prep for exams.
  • Support skin testing, spirometry, immunotherapy injections, biologic administration.
  • Administer allergy shots/meds under provider supervision.
  • Document accurately in EMR; manage clinical inventory.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and follow up care.
  • Run daily clinic lineup and adjust staff/resources to reduce wait times.
  • Audit clinical tasks for safety and HIPAA compliance.
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new MAs.
  • Serve as first point of contact for clinical issues and scheduling conflicts.
  • Track and report clinic metrics/KPIs.

Daily Clinical Work
