Schedule:
- Tuesday and Thursday - CVR Alexandria Clinic
- Wednesday - Float (Travel Stipend available)
- 6:45 AM - 5 PM
- Three 10-hour shifts
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibility I - General:
- Provide excellent patient care
- Collaborate with team members to meet center goals
- Train new staff as needed
- Respond to patient calls with feedback and answers
- Attend team meetings
Responsibility II – Consult-based Nursing:
- Display caring and courteous attitude
- Assess, document vital signs, educate, and counsel patients under provider direction
- Develop treatment strategies for venous insufficiency
- Measure lower extremities for compression stockings
- Photograph legs for medical documentation
- Generate referrals for continuity of care
- Maintain accurate records, with documentation within 24-48 hours
Responsibility III – Surgical Assisting:
- Assist with sterile and non-sterile procedures, including medication mixing
- Assist during procedures with patient positioning and instrument handling
- Dress procedural sites and assist with compression applications
- Follow infection control and safety policies
- Maintain and organize surgical supplies and equipment
- Keep accurate logs and perform routine checks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience
- Reliable transportation
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Ability to travel to clinics in Alexandria, Fairfax, Reston, Manassas, Leesburg, and Woodbridge
