KU MedWest Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to ensure timely patient account follow-up and accurate AR reporting. You will coordinate with insurance payers to secure payments for surgical services and manage denials with the Biller and Business Office Manager.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, accountability, and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical insurance collections, billing and/or accounts receivable preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance billing.

Responsabilités

• Work closely with insurance companies and third-party payers to collect revenue for procedures performed.
• Contact insurance companies by email and phone to collect payments.
• Handle contracted and non-contracted payer issues (HMO, PPO, EPO, POS, Workers' Comp, Self-Pay).
• Work denials and corrected claims with the Biller and/or Business Office Manager and payers.
• Manage credit balances and patient balance resolutions.
• Ensure payments by primary/secondary payers and self-pay patients are accurate.
• Follow up on accounts receivable to meet cash collection metrics and goals.
