Job summary

SCA Health is hiring for an Accounts Receivable specialist responsible for timely patient account follow-up and insurance revenue collection for surgical services. You will work with insurance payers, handle denials, and ensure accurate AR reporting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with payer relations, billing teams, and other departments to meet cash collection metrics in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in medical insurance collections, billing, or related A/R roles
• Knowledge of MS Office including Excel and Word

Responsibilities

• Work with insurance companies and third-party payers to collect revenue for surgical services
• Focus on collecting payments from insurance payers rather than self-pay patients
• Handle denials and corrected claims with billing teams and payers
• Perform credit balance management and patient/account follow-up
• Meet cash collection metrics and resolve accounts promptly
• Collaborate with payer relations and internal departments to ensure timely payments
• Manage contracted and non-contracted payer issues across multiple plan types
