Job summary

Pediatric Home Service is seeking a full-time Admissions Representative to join our customer-focused team. You will handle intake of DME via Brightree, coordinate new product requests and support the CS helpdesk in a fast-paced environment serving medically fragile children and their families.

This hybrid role requires exceptional organization, clear communication, and the ability to manage referrals, authorizations, and billing paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1–6 months of related experience.
• DME intake/medical admissions experience preferred
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills; High level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required.
• Experience in Brightree EHR preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs intake of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), through the Brightree database
• Coordinates the New Product Request process
• Coordinates activities of the Customer Service (CS) helpdesk
• Performs duties of the Coordinator of the Day (COD)
• Obtains new patient referrals
• Obtains insurance authorization information as required for products and services provided by PHS
• Obtains ongoing patient supply ordersObtains prescriber orders for products and services provided by PHS
• Completes patient and prescriber information changes
• Maintains all patient information on an ongoing basis
• Coordinates intake process for specialized organizations
• Supports evening and Saturday on-call staff
• Addresses complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation
• Reads prescriber orders, customer orders, work orders and shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Coordinates service for evening deliveries
• Process and coordinates paperwork from items delivered for intake
• Prepare patient paperwork for billing
• On-call duties/rotation may be required based on business need

THE POSITION:

We are looking for a full-time Admissions Representative to join our customer-focused, supportive team. REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or 1–6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Durable medical equipment (DME) intake/medical admissions experience preferred
• Exceptionally organized, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills; High level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required.
• Experience in Brightree EHR preferred
