Job summary

Pediatric Home Service, Inc. is hiring an Admissions Representative in Cleveland, OH. You will handle DME intake, coordinate new product requests, and support the CS helpdesk and COD tasks from the office.

Responsibilities include obtaining referrals and insurance information, verifying benefits, processing orders, and maintaining patient data. This role also supports on-call evenings and Saturdays and handles billing-related paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 16 months of related experience and/or training.
• DME intake/admissions experience preferred.
• Exceptionally organized with multitasking, communication and keyboard skills.
• Experience in Brightree EHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs intake of DME through Brightree database.
• Coordinates the New Product Request process.
• Coordinates activities of the CS helpdesk.
• Performs duties of the Coordinator of the Day (COD).
• Obtains new patient referrals supporting documentation and insurance information as required.
• Obtains insurance benefits and completes data entry requirements.
• Obtains ongoing patient supply orders and prescriber orders.
• Completes patient and prescriber information changes.
• Maintains all patient information on an ongoing basis.
• Enters new prescriber information into database.
• Coordinates intake for specialized organizations.
• Supports evening and Saturday on-call staff.
• Addresses billing or service complaints and routes to investigations.
• Reads orders to determine items to be moved or distributed.
• Coordinates service for evening deliveries.
• Prepares patient paperwork for billing.

• Hours Monday Friday 8 am 5 pm
• On sitein office

THE POSITION

• Performs intake of Durable Medical Equipment DME through the Brightree database
• Coordinates the New Product Request process
• Coordinates activities of the Customer Service CS helpdesk
• Performs duties of the Coordinator of the Day COD
• Obtains new patient referrals supporting documentation and insurance authorization information as required for products and services provided by PHS
• Obtains insurance benefits & completes data entry requirements
• Obtains ongoing patient supply orders and prescriber orders for products and services provided by PHS
• Completes patient and prescriber information changes
• Maintains all patient information on an ongoing basis
• Enters new prescriber information into database
• Coordinates intake process for specialized organizations
• Supports evening and Saturday on call staff
• Addresses complaints concerning billing or service rendered referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation
• Reads prescriber orders customer orders work orders and shipping orders to determine items to be moved gathered or distributed
• Coordinates service for evening deliveries
• Processed and coordinates paperwork from items delivered for intake; Prepares patient paperwork for billing

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or 16 months of related experience andor training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Durable medical equipment DME intakemedical admissions experience preferred
• Exceptionally organized multi tasking problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills; High level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required
• Experience in Brightree EHR preferred
