This is a part- time position. Work hours are evenings and weekends and may change based on student enrollment needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and teach adult learners in a program that covers patient scheduling, medical records management, insurance processing, and professional communication.
  • Design and deliver instruction aligned with Texas Workforce Commission guidelines, integrating real-life scenarios to develop critical thinking and job-readiness skills.
  • Continuously improve curriculum based on student outcomes, industry feedback, and instructional best practices.
  • Partner with leadership to set program goals around graduation, certification, and job placement—then drive those outcomes with clear action steps.
  • Build relationships with local employers and community partners to support clinical rotations, enrollment growth, and job placement.
  • Maintain a supportive, professional learning environment, ensuring accountability to GCTA’s schedule and code of conduct.
  • Track and report outcomes, including attendance, certification achievement, and employment data for graduates.

What You Bring

  • Current CMAA certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative role.
  • Completion of a course in adult education or equivalent teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach in multiple modalities (hybrid, online, and in-person).
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and communication skills.
  • Passion for helping individuals overcome barriers to employment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 15 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to handle documentation and computer work.
  • Ability to manage moderate levels of stress in a classroom environment.
